Rehearsal Peek!

Ricky is exploring the idea letting go: what do we let go of when we step into nature? What do we let go of when we step back into our urban, clock-time lives? What do we need to let go, for our own peace? Ricky will be performing on Friday, January 27 at sunset. Reserve your ticket for this, or any of the performances, here

Here is a peek at our work in progress.

A glimpse of the Everglades.

A glimpse of the beautiful setting of the Everglades from rehearsal yesterday.

Did you know...

  • The Everglades are crucial to South Florida having enough clean water? Which is necessary to sustain life of all kinds.
  • There are actually 9 (!) different ecosystems within the Everglades?
  • The Miccosukee word that describes the Everglades is kahayatle? This word specifically describes sunset, which will be our KINesphere performance time in January. See more from Love the Everglades founder Houston Cypress on this word and quality here
You can reserve your tix now for a specific performance, and support the arts and the Everglades!

We're Coming Back! Save the Date for KINesphere 2023!

We're so excited to have received funding from the Broward County Cultural Division to create a new iteration of the site-inspired dance-theatre work, KINesphere

Rehearsals started in earnest today for KINesphere 2023! Nicole is choreographing again, in a collaborative process with the dancers. Ricky and Jo will be performing new solos, and Vickie Joleen Anderson will be joining the performance!

This performance will actually be 4 separate performances, Fridays in January at sunset. Watch this space for the schedule of times and performers.

All performances will be held on the Everglades Levees of Loxahatchee Rd. in Parkland, Florida. This beautiful setting connects to the Loxatachee National Wildlife Refuge, and will situate dancers and the audience directly in Everglades. It is our hope that over the month, audiences and dancers get to appreciate this ecosystem and watch it change with the season.

As last year, proceeds will support the dancers and the Love the Everglades Organization. So, even though there is no "ticket", registering through Eventbrite will let us know you're coming and will help support the arts and the Everglades in South Florida.
