Little kin

There are so many of these little ones at the Anne Kolb Nature Center! They may be partners in our dance, but I think they are more nervous than we are.

Leave a comment after the show of how many you saw!

Here's a pic of Jo and Yas in rehearsal this morning before the rain.

Speaking of, what will we do if it rains? Well, we have secured the Mangrove Hall at the Anne Kolb Nature Center, so this show will be happening, in all 3 time slots, rain or shine! So plan to join us!

A Meditation for this Busy Time

The holiday season should be full of joy, love, gratitude, etc. But it is also often accompanied by stress, worry, and grief. Please enjoy these 15secs of peace, recorded at the Anne Kolb Nature Center.

Try one of these embodied practices as you watch and listen:

  • Breathe deeply in all 3 dimensions- lengthen and shorten vertically, widen and narrow horizontally, bulge and hollow sagittally.
  • Breathe into a tight muscle and try to release it with your breath.
  • Ground your feet on the floor. Feel your own roots.
  • Reach into the sky. What ideas are floating around you?
  • Wiggle and flow. Come into yourself.
Leave a comment about your experience!

South Florida in the Winter

Is truly beautiful. I remember when I moved here, almost 10 years ago. I was baking Christmas cookies with my windows open.

Over the past decade, though, climate change has definitely made changes. This Wednesday, I went back to Anne Kolb Nature Center to turn in some paperwork, and to play with movement in our beautiful show location. It was in the 80s! A little too warm for December! After just 30 minutes of dancing, I was sweaty. It was a reminder of we really live in relationship with nature- our choices affect our environment.

If you are coming to our performance, make you sure you check the weather. December in South Florida can get chilly. Or, it may be like this week, hot and steamy. Regardless of temperature, bring sunscreen and bug spray! Get your tickets now on Eventbrite!
